Autumn Obsession

Holler,

Super sorry I’ve been so MIA lately, I completely fell off the blogging bandwagon but I’m back aboard and ready to go.

As I'm sure you're aware, we’re currently in the beautiful season of autumn but if you live in the UK like I do, the weather is more like winter. I love the theory of A/W fashion but in reality, it’s too cold to wear anything other than jeans and a huge jumper.

Because of my same-y outfits I’ve been feeling so bored of my look lately. To try and find some inspiration I've been doing a lot, and I mean A LOT, of shopping. However, when I get the items home they don't make it out of my wardrobe again, as I don't want to reach for anything other than my thickest clothing.

Recently something changed when I found the most perfect boots ever for looking stylish as well as ensuring your toes don’t drop off from frost bite. These boots have revamped my wardrobe and inspired me to switch up my outfit choices.

100% going to be telling my Dad that he needs to cut the grass more often...

lol @ that leg pop

I wore this outfit all day today (whilst shopping for trainers). I’m now loving A/W fashion again and have accepted that if looking good comes at the cost of feeling a bit chilly, I may just have to grin and bear it.

Been posing long enough now, I'm off

Online Clothes Shopping FAIL!

I’ll be the first to admit that I leave EVERYTHING ‘til the last minute. Naturally, with my graduation a week away I still haven’t got around to finding an outfit so I’ve been panic buying online in the hope of finding something that makes me look a bit less like a potato than normal.

For some unknown reason, I decided that I wouldn’t shop anywhere I usually do and instead I found myself spending hundreds of pounds on Pretty Little Thing, a website I have never even browsed on before.

The first thing to note is that nude does not suit me in the slightest but in my moment of madness (my excuse is that I was online shopping at 2am so I wasn’t in a sane mindset) I decided to purchase everything in nude. Mistake number 1. But if it looks good on the model it’s bound to look the exact same on me, right? Mistake number 2.

During my agonising wait for the clothes to be delivered – I’m the Queen of patience clearly- I’d convinced myself everything was going to look bomb and I’d be able to post a great try on haul on my blog and finally achieve Instagram goals. Lol.

The order came today and I honestly didn’t even want to get anything out of the plastic wrappers it all looked so horrendous. However, I decided to be the brave girl I am and try things on. Bloody wish I hadn’t. Dreams were shattered in those few moments; lives were ruined.

I feel like I should add that I washed my fake tan off before trying anything on just in case it transferred and I wasn't able to send it back. Soz for the paleness.

1. Catarina Nude Floral Lace Choker Bodycon Dress

Quick reminder of the title of the dress including the word 'bodycon'. Apparently not so bodycon in person.

2. Kalli Cream High Neck Lace Detail Midi Dress

Two words: Nan's tablecloth.

3.    Aisha Nude Satin Panel Midi Dress

Remind me never to order anything 'midi' ever again.

4.    Freyana Rose Gold Sequin Detail Long Sleeve Mini Dress

I didn't even try this dress on because half of the sequins were sewn over the zip meaning that if you wanted to unzip it to put it on, you would literally have to rip the dress open. Smart.

5.    Azul Champagne Silky Wrap Cami Dress

God only knows what this item looks like on as it didn't even arrive in the parcel.

6.    Karlia Contrast Panelled Lace Bodycon Dress

This has got to be the itchiest item of clothing I have ever put on in my life. I couldn't even do up the back because it was so irritating on my skin.

I hate to dwell on negativity so let's focus on the good... it's free to return the items. Now to log into my trustee Topshop account...

God Bless The Contrast Dresser

Apologies if I have been somewhat absent from social media recently, I’m usually always on Twitter (@sar4helizabeth) so I definitely felt disconnected from the world!

I’ve not long come back from a holiday to Spain where we were visiting family which was so great. Before I went I toyed with the idea of doing a get ready with me post in the style of ‘Pack with Me’ but decided against it. As I currently live with my parents I didn’t feel like it was my place to advertise when our house would be empty.

Despite this I wanted to be able to share something from my trip with you as it was too good an opportunity to pass up – and let’s face it, you’re probably all so bored of my furry white backgrounds at the moment!

The majority of my previous posts have been beauty related so I’m coming at you today with a fashion related post. All of the items featured (or very similar) will be listed below as always.

My style is ever changing but at the moment I’m a big fan of contrast dressing, that is to say I’ll pair together totally opposite styles to create my outfit. I'm not even sure if there's a real 'fashion world' term for what I do but either way I'm clueless. This outfit below was one of my go to looks during my holiday (WARNING: extreme paleness about to hit you now).

- Yes, I am legit picking a lemon off the tree -

The pretty, girly nature of this blouse was completely contrasted with the grungy style of my bag and sandals as well as my watch. This totally demonstrates my personality as I'm lovely whilst also having a fierce and sassy side to me.

I love ‘contrast dressing’ (not to be confused with cross dressing as I keep very nearly typing!) as it brings an unexpected twist to a seemingly boring and predictable fashion choice.

I really enjoyed taking the photography aspect of this post. A massive shout out to my brother for allowing me to boss him around to get the exact shots I wanted!

I hope you liked this post as it was something a little bit different from usual.

See you soon,
